I set goals for the grades I wanted to get in school, for the weights I wanted to lift in the gym, for the profits I wanted to earn in business. I succeeded at a few, but I failed at a lot of them. Eventually, I began to realize that my results had very little to do with the goals I set and nearly everything to do with the systems I followed. A worksheet was provided and we were asked to write our goals and which one we want to achieve in the next 3 months and shared it to the class. The class was cheering as we shout out our goals. Here at Reach Reporting, we love to use the S.M.A.R.T. goal-setting program. It was created back in by George Doran, Arthur Miller, and James Cunningham. Many businesses use this model when it is time to set new goals. S.M.A.R.T. goals are goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely. If you start with only a couple of important goals instead of throwing yourself headfirst into 40 at a time, you will feel less overwhelmed and more confident in your efforts to reach them. We need to do things “in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength” .

Process goals are better because you're % in control of your success or failure. It’s a good idea to set larger outcome goals and then set smaller process goals that'll lead you on the road to achieving them. If you want to win a powerlifting competition, start by Author: Harry Guinness.
